There's just something about a properly sorted CRF450. This generation was such a solid platform and Honda did some good work with these.
This one is insane and it could be yours...
It isn’t some random bike we found in a barn or picked up off Marketplace and tossed into this giveaway. This was a project we originally handled for an amazing customer. The engine was DESTROYED, It surprisingly ran when it came into the shop for some love (It's a Honda, duh), but the grenade pin had been pulled. The right side bearing retainer screw backed out and started wreaking havoc from the inside out. It received a hole in the cases, crankshaft, cylinder, and piston were all destroyed. So a complete engine refresh with all new parts aside from the cylinder head core itself were needed.
We gave it some of the EMF treatment to go along with the new engine. Powder coated the frame, beefed up the radiators, freshened up the chassis and suspension, etc. Customer got it back and put approximately 20 hours on it.
It is still so FRESH! Overall it's in such great shape. The prior owner took incredible care of it.
When they eventually decided to move on, we pounced on it.
We're going to be giving it a fresh look featuring a new modified Military design (to keep the tribute alive), some proper duals (twice pipes) and some upgrades to put the EMF stamp on it.
As if the bike isn't cool enough, we're going to be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Blue Ribbon Coalition. THEY fight tirelessly for all of us to be able to freely enjoy access to public lands. Let's rally and raise some funds for the BRC!
